| School had started for almost 3 weeks, my classes are so far so good, and this should be the easiest semester I have ever had in USC, no project, no presentation....what I need is just do good on midterms and finals For the grad sch, I started to prepare for it, and I did take a look on the sch choices.....I dunno what should I do, or what strategies I should use.....I felt like I went back to 2 yrs ago...stay or leave....where should I go...and what am I really look for......but I did feel the difference...from the influence of USC....I am no longer just study for study....I guess I am getting more exposed to the real world situation....what ppl mean the 'brand sch effect'...I knew sth real, but I also knew that's the answer I dun want to know...u wanna get into a gd sch, not just only getting a good score, but also a bunch of recommendation letters...and how do u get the letters?? well, 'hang out' more with your profs, plz... This morning, received a call from my mom, talking about the surgery result of my cat....I sound kinda indifference in the conversation with my mom...I dunno why I do that, but i know my mom feel a bit weird about my reaction too....after the call, keep thinking more about my cat, seriously I am really care about my cat....she is not just my pet, but a friend, a buddy, or even my family member....17 yrs man...I can't just so cold-blood to let her go....I thought of many memories with her....I started recalled what I promise to myself 4 yrs ago....I started to blame on how lame I am in school....I really can't lost both my dog and cat just within a summer....the only summer where I didn't go back to HK....is that the fate? Many 'What if...' came out in my mind after the call....lagged, lazy, wasting time, maybe this is what my current status is.... I prayed to god today, my most dedicated pray to the god...I hope he can let my cat live longer...at least until the date I go back to HK... I can do whatever he wants me to do....that's the deal....I know god won't ask for sth back from me...but I guess I still belive the rule of 'equal trade'....bring sth worth and other will give u back the same value I know...I can't just step on the same ground...and I promise...I won't forget the promise I make to you | | |
| Last day for my first trip….staying around in Pittsburg, Homan drove me to take a look around the city and then we sorta visited Uni of Pittsburg and Carnegie Mellon University…..around 5pm, we drove to the airport….and really time to say goodbye to my frd….hope we got some time to meet up soon….. Since my first flight delayed…so I need to stayed in the airport to wait…..good thing that I got the free internet access…..hope I can catch up my second flight from Detroit to Chicago….. My flight was finally delayed for more than expected.....and I got stuck in Detroit right now.....they offered me a free hotel night and $20 for meals....well.....I guess my trip was really CURSED.... | | |
| Woke up at 9am, took ad shower and then we prepare to end up our trip….had the third buffet in Atlantic City, which is the worst…..finally understood why the first one is so called the ‘best one’ at all…..we started driving from 2pm and then we arrived Indiana County at 7:45pm…..we bought some fresh cooked lobster and crab legs for dinner and then my frd brought me to his frd’s house to hang out for a while… After we finished the dinner, I went with my frd to get his new home’s key and then we returned our rental car after that…Before I left, Homan brought me to the ice-cream place again called Meadows….the Vanilla ice-cream is super good, and really cheap….and…really Big…..felt so satisfied and then we drove back to Pittsburg to stay in the hotel for one more night…. We arrived Pittsburg after mid-night….and again the regular room was full….so the lady gave us a special room again….a disabled hotel room…..with a huge bathroom and two queen size bed sitting opposite to each other…..this trip we got a conclusion….to get a better hotel room, better check-in after midnight….haha…. | | |
| We slept till 10-11 the next morning becoz we were all pretty tired….the first thing we did was going to eat…we researched for three buffets for the rest of our trip in Atlantic City, but we were all very disappointed….the food wasn’t that good as it mentioned in the reviews….even though the ‘best one’ it was still so so….after the meals we walked along the shorelines and took some pics there…we took the things called Jitney and it was like a mini van travelling around the city… Since we were so bad luck for the past few days, we decided not to do any gamble at all…and I think this is the wise idea….
Back to the hotel after the second buffet, which was worsen than the noon one…. We decided to tried the huge bathing tank with the messaging after the long trip….while watching the Olympic me and my frd were sitting there and enjoy the rich ppl life, haha….went to bed early again since we have to prepare to head back to Pittsburg for the next day | | |
| Woke up at 9, felt much better after the long rest, went to Quincy market again to have our lunch...finally, we got the Boston Lobster, so yummy ^.^.....after that we took the Boston subway to visit those famous school, Harvard, MIT and Boston College..... I have been to Harvard one time before, but only taking pics last time.....we were so lucky that when we arrived there is a School tour guide leading a group of ppl and introduced the school...we just joined them and then follow them to walk around the school.... The tour was pretty nice and we gave tips for praising their hard effort....went to the nearby park, sat down and took some rest.....before we started leaving there, found out me and my frd got bird shit lor.....sign...how come were so bad luck in the trip..... After that is MIT, the school is pretty cool with a lot of strange building.....while we were walking the weather getting worse and worse....finally it started rained heavily.....we waited for the rain past and then half walk half run back to the subway station.......with the bad weather, we deicded to go back to our hotel and get the car first.....once we arrived the Hotel subway station, the rain started already lor.....and it was so heavy....we wait, wait and wait.....until it seems getting smaller...then me and my frd decide run past the pedestrian to the other side of the road......once we run the rain start raining heavy again and the traffic light turn red again, we got stuck on the middle and we all got wet........ Since we were cold, we decided to go back to the nearby Quincy market to eat sth.....I had the Lobster Roll with Clam chowder, it's pretty nice....finished our early dinner we started running across the street and get our car... Final destination is Boston College....it locates in the upside of the hill.....we were so disappointed since the campus is so SMALL.....yea....much much smaller then USC......omg......glad that now i know how small the school is or else I might think of applying here..... Left Boston at 7pm, started driving to our next stop, Alantic City!! We tried our best but still we didn't arrive there until 1:30am......again....the regular room we booked was running out again......but the front desk said he is giving us a Suite and added an extra bed for us......at first we still dunno what's happen....until we figure that the room is so nice and big.....omg.....two bathroom and one huge shower tank in the living room......the most funniest thing is that when we take the elevator to that floor with several Americans, one of them speak out "OMG, I can't believe it" right after we left the elevator......I guess he meant he can't believe us so 'rich' to live in those room, haha... | | |
